The next day, Luke woke up early, he needs to be at his office before 8:00am because he has a meeting with his client. Ako naman since morning person ako, before 6:00am gising na’ko.
“Do you wanna have breakfast before you go? We can have it at the coffee shop.” I asked him while he’s dressing up.
“Sure, you need something to start your day din naman. Think positive, don’t worry, they’ll know there’s something going on with you if you stressed yourself out, be ready for the meeting ok, I’ll pick you up at 11:00am ha, be ready by then.”
We went to the coffee shop afterwards and had breakfast together. Nag-coffee sya and tuna sandwich, ako tea lang and cookies, mahirap dumagdag ang tension ko eh, then after breakfast, Luke went to his office.
I spent two hours of my morning looking out of the window just watching the traffic outside, wala lang, trip ko lang. Siguro to clear out my mind na din and mabawasan ang worries ko. Then after a while I took a shower, habang nag-aayos ako I decided to log-in sa YM, nakachat ko si Shy, as usual, kwentuhan early in the morning and then I told her my worries that day, she’s putting up with my kagagahan naman and I’m very thankful na mahaba ang patience nya sa’kin. She’s advising me pa to do yoga para ma-lessen ang tension ko. At sa sobrang tense ko, while talking her, I was putting make up on na pala, nasa harap kasi ako ng vanity mirror while chatting with her, pagtingin ko sa mirror, naka-makeup nako, hahaha. Lakas ng tama ko e, bangenge lang. I told Shy about my kagagahang ginagawa, siguro she was thinking, timang lang ‘to si Tasha, parang ewan lang. I was wearing the new blouse I bought the other night, so match naman sa outfit ko na mag-makeup ako. Ayun, go nalang, keribels ko na, hehehe. Hmmmm, kaiba ‘tong araw na ‘to, I told myself. Ang dami kong ginagawa na hindi tama.
Before 11:00am, Luke texted me that he was on his way to pick me up, between 11:30-12:00nn daw sya darating. I decided to wait for him at the hotel lobby para me iba naman akong makita.
After 30 minutes, I saw his car parking outside. I didn’t wait for him to fetch me, instead I picked up my bag and my report folders and went to his car to meet him. He walked around the car to meet me, he was all smile kaya natuwa naman ako. I went straight into his arms and kiss him on the lips, passionately. Keber sa makakakita kahit tanghaling tapat.
“Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee………” I heard somebody screamed near us. Ouch! Nabasag yata ang eardrums ko, nagulat ako, sino yun? Kumalas ako kay Luke, pag-ikot ko, shit! Si Melissa! She just open the car window, nakatanghod sa’min ni Luke. All smile din ang bruha!
“Kayo na, really?” Tuwang-tuwa ang bruha! She went out of the car, lumapit sa’kin and she hugged me.“Bakit wala akong alam? Kelan pa kayo? Does Mom know, ha Luke?” pangungulit nya. Kilig na kilig sya.
Hindi ako makasagot, nagulat ako eh, speechless. Para kong tanga nakatayo lang , as in parang nag-numbed ako bigla, sobrang shock! Ang OA ko lang that time.
“Uy Tash, finally, naglakas loob na si Big Bro. Hahaha, tagal ka nang pinagpapantasyahan nito kala mo ba. Remember nung birthday nya last year, pinainom ka nila ng tequila, tinamaan ka? Hindi ako ang katabi mong natulog, sya, hahahaha! Aminin mo na ngayon Luke.” Pangungulit nya kay Luke. Tinignan ko si Luke, hindi makatingin sa’kin ang loko.
“Me aaminin ka Luke?” Tanong ko.
“Sa car na kayo mag-aminan, ang init dito, tanghaling tapat kasi umeksena ng kissing scene nyo, sa movie lang magandang tingnan na sa bilad sa araw gumawa ng ganung eksena, sa real life mainit!” Sabi ng lukaret na bruha.
“Shut up Mel, get in the car.” Nagpapakakuya si Big Bro, asar-talo.
“Yes brother dearest!” Aakyat na sana sya sa front seat when she stop and turn around. “Ay sorry, evicted na pala ako sa front seat. Ikaw na po mahal na reyna, baka iwanan ako ng masungit na hari!”
Natawa na’ko sa kakulitan nya.”Lukaret ka Mel, come here, give me a hug again, I didn’t return your hug kanina e.”
“Natural, bangenge ka, hahaha. Na shock kita! So finally, official sisters na tayo? Nako, lagot ka kay Mommy Lucas, incest ito! Hahaha…..” Banat pa ni Mel.
Mel is so pretty, although hindi sila masyadong magkamukha ni Luke because she’s a lot more tisay-looking, she’s tan, halos kakulay lang din kami and the same height, dark brown hair, color lang yata ng eyes ang pareho sila, si Phil ang kamukha nya, while si Luke, si Kurt ang kamukha. But super close sya with her brothers specially sila ni luke.
“Love you big sis, now big sister na talaga kita.” Mel said after she returned my hug.
“Yes, finally, ok let’s go, mainit nga dito sa labas.” I told her.
Luke was already on the driver seat pag-akyat namin. Tatawa-tawa ang loko.
“Smile ka dyan, me kasalanan ka pa.” I told him. Ngiti pa rin ang mokong, pinalo ko nga ng folder na bitbit ko.
“Awww…. Sorry I didn’t know that you’re going to kiss me eh.” He said.
“Nagtext ka man lang sana di’ba.” I retort.
“Uy LQ, hahaha, ang cute pala pag kayo na noh?” Pang-aasar ni Mel.
“Shut up Mel!” Luke and I said it at the same time. Tawanan kaming tatlo.
“Kaya pala nagulat ako kanina when he said he’ll pick you up here, as in here sa QC ka pa, eh tamad ‘to lagi magdrive ng malayo Tash, yun pala lovey-dovey na’kayo, hahaha. So sweet ka brother dearest! So, no plans of telling anyone pa ang drama nyong dalawa? Why?” Mel asked.
“Ask Tasha Mel, not me.” Luke said. Me himig tampo ang mokong.
“Mel, me plans naman, but not yet muna. I still need to get used to this, alam mo na, I don’t have a boyfriend for 5 years, tapos wala naman kaming history ng ligawan ni Luke, tapos biglang kami na. Saka I wanted muna to enjoy na kami lang….”
“So pano yan I know. You have to treat me to dinner lang naman, ok na na bayad yun, I’ll keep my mouth shut. Promise! Basta lang don’t be too sweet sa harap ko like kanina, pag ganun tumitili talaga ako! Mabuko na kayo kung mabuko, hehehe…. Pero promise sis, I won’t tell.” I saw here face sa mirror. Ngiting aso ang lukaret.
“Really Mel? I don’t think so. Ang daldal mo kaya!”, sabi ko.
“Grabe ka naman sistah, I can keep a promise naman eh, basta me suhol.” Tawa sya tawa. Ang kulit!!!
“Mel, justdon’t say anything muna, ok, bahala na si Tash, anyway, pag biglang nagsawa agad to sa’kin ikaw lang ang nakakaalam na nagging kami, hehehe.”
“Ang arte mo Luke ha, hindi ako magsasawa, promise….” Sabi ko.
“Uuuuyyy…. ibaba nyo na nga’ko agad, magmumukha akong display dito, remember, me ibang tao kayong kasama, wag mang-inggit! Uy Luke sa ABS ako ha, baka magkalimutan tayo.”
“San ang punta mo Mel?” Tanong ko ulit
“I need to meet a friend Tash, we’re working on a video, I’ll show it to you after we’re done editing, you’re going to like it. Extra ang mga bullies (that’s her pet name sa mga brothers nya).
“Really, buti pumayag this time. Naku baka me madiscover. Hey Luke, you didn’t tell me about this, anong papel mo this time?” Luke’s busy on the wheel driving, traffic kasi.
“Yung dalawa lang naman ang me papel, ako ang ginawang tagabuhat ng isa dyan.” Biro nya kay Mel.
“Tash, ayaw nya kaya, sya nga dapat yung iinterbyuhin ko e, kay Phil tuloy napunta ang papel. Anyways, Kurt really looks good on camera, shy boy lang talaga si bunso. Hey Luke, there’s my stop. Here…. Thanks. By the way, I will see you 2 tonight?” She asked while going out of the car.
“Nope, I’m meeting a friend tonight Mel, next time na lang ulit, I’ll be back naman agad here. Are you staying here in Manila?”
“Yes Tash, sige, just let me know when nyo ako ililibre, akala nyo makakalimutan ko ha. Sige, bye guys! Take care, and don’t worry, your secret is safe with me Anastasha, promise.” Kumindat pa ang lukaret, she’s so lovable.
“Why did you tell her you’re meeting somebody tonight, wala naman di ba?” Luke asked after.
“Wala nga, but I told your mom di ba, ayoko lang mag-iba ang mga kwento Luke, mabubuking tayo just like now.”
“Don’t worry about it, Mel always keeps her promise. So ok ka na? Ready for this afternoon?”
“Yes I am, reporting lang naman, pero teka, why you didn’t tell me that Mel is coming with?”
“Oh, sorry about that, nakalimutan ko talaga and I didn’t know naman kasi na you will kiss me e.”
“Hay, excuses ka na naman Lucas, saka ano ang kwento ng tequila? Sinasabi ko na nga bang I wasn’t dreaming, I saw you talaga. Hindi ka naman nanamantala Luke?” Tanong ko kay Luke, hindi tumitingin ang mokong so meaning me ginawa talaga syang kaiba that night. “LUKEEEE….” I screamed his name.
“Damn!” Nagulat ko ang mokong. “Ano ba Tash, pareho talaga kayo ni Mel.”
“Natural babae kami…. Ano nga kasi, sagutin mo ang tanong ko.” Kulit ko pa rin.
“I kissed you.” Ngiting aso ulit ang mokong . “You actually asked for it. Ouch….!”
Sinapak ko sya, “Sira ka pala eh, I ask for it, bangenge ako, I ask for it ka dyan! Nanamantala ka nga. Kiss lang?” Paniniguro ko.
“Yes, kiss lang.”
“Sigurado ka ha? Gano katagal?” Tanong ko ulit.
“Seconds lang, pumasok kasi si Mel eh….” Sabay kamot nya ng ulo nya ulit kasi binatukan ko na naman sya. “Ouch, naman mababangga tayo nito e….”
“Ungas ka kasi, kung hindi pala pumasok si Mel me ginawa ka pang iba.” Naiinis ako at natutuwa sa hitsura nya.
“Hindi naman, ano ka ba, I’m not like that, natempt lang naman ako to kiss you kasi you called my name, when I looked at you, naka-half open yung mouth mo, parang waiting for a kiss, so I did kiss you….”
“And….”
“That’s it na nga lang kasi nga dumating si Mel, after nun natulog na tayo. Pero I’ll tell you now, I didn’t touch you, hindi talaga. We just sleep together back to back para hindi ako matempt to touch you.”
“Buti naman. Kaya lang sayang….” Nakangiti ako sa kanya, concentrate sya magdrive, mukha syang genius, hehehe, nakasuot kasi yung eyeglasses nya. Pag nagda-drive lang sya and nasa travel nagsusuot ng eye-glasses nya, nearsighted kasi sya like me, kaya he needed it lalo na pag nagda-drive.
“Sayang? Naghinayang ka ngayon….” He did a lopsided grin, pacute ang loko.
“Tungeks ka kasi, dapat nun pa pala e, di mo tinuloy, di sana ang tagal na natin ngayon….” Actually nagbibiro lang ako, I wanted to know his reaction sa sinabi ko, natutuwa lang ako sa situation, pero yeah, sayang talaga….
“Malay ko bang gusto mo pala, sayang kung hindi dumating si Mel, lumalaban ka na e, hehehe….” Kumindat pa ang bruho.
“Ako lumalaban? Ng Halikan sa’yo? Akala ko ba seconds lang???” Hahaha, nahiya ako bigla! Nag-init ang mukha ko, shocks ang landi kong lasing nun!
“Mga 180 seconds yata yun or so….” Pang-aasar pa ng pasaway.
“3 minutes! Nanamantala ka ngang bruho ka! Um!” Binatukan ko sya ulit.
“Ano ba naman, nagda-drive e, peace na, later na. “ Sabi nya.
“Peace na, later ka na dyan, ungas ka talaga. 3 minutes, magsabi ka nga ng totoo, kiss lang o me iba ka pang ginawa? Ano nga Luke?”
“Ok sige, I touched you….”
“Saan….”
“You let me e, you asked me to touch you….”
Super blushed ako nun, kaloka, bangag ako that day, kung ano-ano na pinaggagawa ko. “Really? I asked for it? Pano? Sinabi ko?”
“Yes you did, ikaw ang kumuha ng hand ko and brought it there….?”
“Hala, hindi, Lucas wag mo nga’kong ginagago! If I did that, sinunod mo naman?”
“Syempre, andun na eh…. Hehehe.” Pang-aasar ng mokong.
“Sira ka pala eh, alam mong me tama ako, nanamantala ka? Natouch mo ‘ko?” Tanong ko ulit.
“Yes…. Pero not really…. Sa labas lang ng panty mo…. Hahaha….” Super blushed ang mokong sa kalokohan nya. “I heard Mel coming in kaya I stopped….” What I remembered wearing that day is my favorite sarong style na skirt, mahaba kasi sya, tapos wrapped around…. Meaning easy access ang mokong!
“So kung hindi dumating si Mel me ginawa ka?”
“I won’t say sorry Tash…” Biglang serious ang mokong. “ I know its wrong pero ‘I grabbed the opportunity’ ika nga, nu’n mo lang ako pinapasok sa mundong mo e, so I don’t care kung me mangyari sa’tin that time, although I’m not sure kung you really like me nga, unlike nung what happened nung nasa condo kita, you were sober and ready, I was ready…. I know I have choice pero mas gusto kung gawin yun and you let me, we both have a choice but we let our feelings go…. if hindi mo naman gusto I will stop, but you let me…. And here we are….”
“Nakakainis ka talaga, bakit kasi hindi ka nalang nagsabi agad, pinatatagal mo lagi e. Kung sana noon pa…. hay….” Naghihinayang parin ako….
He grabbed my hand and kissed it. “Everything is worth the wait naman e. Yes, ang tagal natin naghintay but now, we’re together di ba. We’re both ready…. I mean I’m ready, ikaw pala hindi pa.” Tampo ulit si mokong….
“Konting time lang Luke, promise, it’ll be worthwhile din. Promise, I’ll makeup bigtime! Anyways, is your Mom already in the office for the meeting?” I asked again.
“Si Mommy? She was there this morning but she said she going back to my place at lunch time. Then back to the office by 3 pm.”
“So, malamang wala pa sya sa office mo when we get there? Hay sana na naman.”
“Eto naman, worried ka masyado, relax lang. Make it as normal sa possible. Kasi naman ayaw pang sabihin e, di sana no worries ka na ngayon.”
“I will nga, tityempo lang muna.”
“You want to eat where pala?” he asked.
“Sa office nyo na lang, pa-order na lang tayo para dun na’ko magprep. What time si Calvin pupunta? Dumating na ba sya, or parating pa lang, di ko na kasi alam ang sked nya e.” Tanong ko kay Luke.
“He’s here na daw, pero 3 pa sya pupunta. Ok diretso na tayo ng office, pakicall mo si Lira para mag-order na sya.”
Mahigit 1 hour din ang byahe namin medyo traffic kasi pero ok naman. Pagdating ng office nya, doon ako tumuloy sa room nya instead of going to the boardroom. Naiimagine ko pa rin yun eksena namin dun the last time, nakakaloka yun, nagsimula sa dare, hehehe. I think I’ll write about it na lang, one shot story siguro…. Pwede!
Anyways, nakaready na yung food when we got there, so we ate agad and after lunch inayos ko na yung report ko. Tinubuan na naman ako ng kaba at tension nung mga 2:30pm na, 30mins na lang kasi so I log in sa YM and Shy was online again so chika kami, nagkwento ako konti about sa mga nangyayari at mangyaya pa, nakikisali si Luke sa chat, tense din ata si mokong. At Melissa called me to remind me again about our treat, kahit snaks na lang daw, ang kulit din talaga.
After a while, Luke went out to check his staff. I seated myself dun sa chair nya kasi nakatapat sa sa’kin yung aircon sa room nya sa dating pwesto ko, anlamig na eh. After a few minutes pumasok ulit si Luke, all smiles agad ako kasi chatting pa rin kami ni Shy, nag-ienjoy akong kausap sya.
“So you’re hiding her here, Luke?” Calvin said, nakasunod pala sya kay Luke. Ngumiti lang ako. “How are you lady? Are you two plotting on something here? Why are you here? ” Tumawa lang si Luke.
“I’m concentrating Cal, I need to focus….” I told Calvin smiling, he knows I’m just teasing him. I get back to chatting with Shy para kunwari busy ako.
“She’s busy Cal, let’s go outside….” Sabi ni Luke.
“Now this is new, you let somebody invade your office Lucas???” Nakakunot pa rin ang noo ni Calvin. “You need some explaining to do young lady!” Calvin said while he follows Luke out of his office. Lumingon lang si Luke sa’kin and smiled at me.
Huh, something’s wrong, iba ang ngiti ni mokong. Kausap ko pa rin sa chat si Shy, telling her what I’m feeling that time. Naibahan ako sa ngiti ni Luke kaya I told Shy na out muna ko saglit at hahanapin ko si mokong, nangangamoy away e, mukhang me alam na ang Calvin. Kaso when I went out, nakita si Mommy dearest ni Luke, talking to him and Calvin and one of the board na kararating lang din sa may front door, so balik ang beauty ko sa loob. Nagpaalam na’ko kay Shy para makapagprepare na.
A few minutes later sumilip ulit si Calvin and told me to go na sa boardroom para makastart na ang meeting. I know Calvin is sensing something different and he’s going to ask me or Luke, magaling yun eh, tsismoso din. Malamang di nya titigilan si Luke. But I’m not really worried sa kanya. Mas worried ako sa mommy ni Luke.
When I got myself inside the office nandun na silang lahat, all seated and talking to each other. Nung makita ako ng mommy ni Luke, tumayo sya agad and lumapit sa’kin.”Hey pretty lady, you looked good with all the makeup huh??? How are you? I didn’t saw you when I came in, where have you been?” She asked and I forgot about the makeup na, hehehe.
“She’s hiding from us, well I think Luke is hiding her from us….” Calvin said smiling, mukhang me alam nga ang isang ‘to, tiningnan ko Luke, pasimang ang mokong, kunwari nagbabasa ng agenda ng meeting.
“Ok take your sit Tasha, and Calvin start with the agenda, I’ll take the minutes.” Sabi ng isa pang trustee, si Tita Lyn, medyo strict kasi sya pagdating sa meeting, kelangan pag time na, start na which helps naman kasi tinigilan ako pansamantala ni Calvin. He did the project updates reports from June up to that date, almost one hour din plus discussion then after no’n ako naman, reporting about finance and staffing plus my new role sa new programme ng office. I was kabado at first unlike nung nagrireport ako dati, parang kwentuhan lang, this time parang feeling ko I was so formal, pero sige go parin, I wanted to finish it nang mabilis para makaupo na. After that they asked question, Calvin help me out answering some of it kasi most of the questions is for management concern like what will happen if I concentrated on my new role, who’s going to take over if ever I need to be out on field ng matagal, did we think about this and all the blah… blah… After almost 30 minutes natapos din ako with my reporting. I was about to take my seat na when Calvin call my attention again.
“I think Tasha forgot to tell us something…. There’s something you want to tell us right, you and Luke?” Ngiting demonyo ang Calvin and then I looked at Luke, he was smiling too, nakakaloko ang dalawa, nainis ako.
“Luke, did you tell Calvin about us?” I blurted out bigla. And then I realized what I just said. Shocks, wanted to run and hide from them, naloko na!
“What? You and Luke? Why I don’t know about this Tasha? Luke? Care to tell me or are you planning to tell me or not?” Luke’s mom said, super tampo ang voice nya, hindi ako makatingin, shit palpak ang araw ko na’to.
I heard Calvin laughed and teased Luke and me. “Now, you really have some explaining to do my boy and Tasha, I wasn’t talking about your love affair with that bastard, I was talking about your trip the other day, remember, you went to Pangasinan? We need to know about it? Care to tell us? But now, I wanted to know your love story first, how did it started?” Pangaasar pa ng pasaway kong boss, pagtingin ko kay Luke, tawa ng tawa ang mokong, nakakaloko, gusto kung magwalk out. Nakakahiya ‘to.
“Sit down Tasha….” Tita Lyn said, “Calvin stop teasing her!” Natuwa naman ako at me naawa sa’kin, di pa rin ako makatingin sa mommy ni Luke, hiyang-hiya ako e. Tawa pa rin ng tawa ang Calvin, tuwang-tuwa sa ginawa nya, nakakainis, gusto ko syang batukan, parang batang nag-ienjoy ang pasaway.
“Okay guys, we are planning to tell you today, after this meeting, it’s just that Calvin asked a very confusing question for Tasha to answer....” Luke said, he came behind me and hold my hand, in a way gumaan ang pakiramdam ko, “We’ve been together since September….”
“September, that’s 2 months ago, why we don’t know about this?” Pang-aasar pa din ni Calvin,nakakainis na talaga, wala naman akong choice kundi tumahimik.
“Calm down Cal, we wanted to keep it to ourselves first, right baby?”
“Now you’re calling her your baby? How sweet of you bastard!” Ayaw talaga kaming tigilan ni Calvin, grabe mang-asar, tawanan na sila sa room, ayokong tumingin, hiyang-hiya talaga ako. Kaya ayaw ko munang ipaalam e, I know ganito ang mangyayari.
“Stop teasing Calvin,” I heard Luke’s mom said, “Now we know all about this, I want to talk to both of you later, can we proceed with the meeting now? Luke, tell us about your trip with Tasha….”
I still heard Calvin mumbles about “Yeah and what happen after the trip, candlelight dinner…. With flowers and chocolates?… Bed of roses with thorns....” Nakakaloko ang boss ko talaga, kainis.
Luke did the reporting na, tumahimik na rin si Calvin pansamantala, naging ok naman ang ambiance ng room kasi nagtuloy-tuloy na ang meeting, Calvin still makes faces when I looked at him. Ang sarap batuhin ng coffee mug eh, but kahit ganun mang-asar ang boss kong yun, he’s one of my friends, next to Luke, sya ang naging bestfriend kong guy, we’ve been through a lot e, kami ang nag-setup ng office, we know all the ins and out, father figure ko na rin kasi I know na his there when I needed advices, and good thing right now is that he is also Luke’s bestfriend. Yun lang today, sobrang mang-inis, enjoy na enjoy sya at nasa hotseat kami ni Luke.
After the meeting, everyone says their wishes for me and Luke, hahaha, parang bagong kasal lang magkahawak kamay pa kami ng bruho. Nahihiya pa rin ako sa nangyari pero at least mas ok na. They gave us advices lalo na si Tita Lyn, she said na “We are actually hoping na kayo ni Luke ang magkatuluyan but for the past years you both remain friends, pangmatagalan na’to Luke ha. Keep her happy.” I’m so touch, nakakatuwa sila, they were happy for us.
Calvin also expressed his feelings too, sumeryoso this time ang pasaway. “Luke, she’s very special to me, and you are too, I want both of you to be happy. One wrong move and you die man!” Hahaha, kaloko ang Calvin, nu’n ko lang nalaman super possessive ang boss ko.
After they all left, kami na lang ni Luke at ang mommy nya ang naiwan, nakakaiba this time. Dati ok lang, kwentuhan to the max. Ngayon super tahimik, her mom talk first, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“We are planning to Mom, it’s just that we wanted to tell you when you’re here.” Palusot ni Luke, pinisil ko yung hand nya, saying my thank you at sinalo nya’ko dun.
“Ok, I have an idea already coz I saw her blouse in you room Luke and you were at her hotel room the other day, I just wanted to get the truth from you guys.” Hahaha, namula ulit ako, so huli na din pala in a way. “You were together last night right? You’re not with Drake, Luke?” Kamot ng ulo si mokong.
“Mom, we’re old enough to…”
“Luke, she’s Tasha, not some other girls….” Ayayayay eto na’po. “Yeah, you know what you’re doing but still you have to think first before act…. Understand what I’m saying?” Nagkatinginan lang kami ni Luke, parang we both wanted to tell her, ‘sorry, we act first before we think,’ hahaha! “And Tasha, I know my son, you have to be patient with him, he’s sweet but he’s so busy most of the time he won’t have enough time for you, I hope this time he’ll change his habits….”
“Don’t worry Maggie, we’ve been friends, I know how he is, I can cope up with him promise, I got my bad habits too.” I told her, napangiti naman sya.
